How hosting works

Are you ready to see your world through a new lens? By volunteering to host an international student, you will see your home, community, and yourself differently. As one of the most enriching things you can do for your family, you can forge life-long friendships and a cool place to visit.
Show Your Interest
First, please complete the Host Family Inquiry Form and get your questions ready. A Community Coordinator will then contact your to provide you with an overview of the hosting experience and answer any questions you may have.
Complete the Host Family Application
If you are interested in proceeding, you would then complete a Host Family Application. Once your application has been received, you will receive a link to complete a confidential criminal background check. We will then review these items and once approved, a Community Coordinator will contact you to arrange an interview and orientation meeting in your home.
Choose Your Student
Now comes the exciting part! Matching students with families is the most important step. A Community Coordinator will review your family's hobbies, interests, gender needs, and special requests, and hand-select a few students for you to review. You'll be provided with basic information of these students and asked to select the one that you would like to welcome into your family.
