At Terra Lingua USA we enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. We are looking for self-starters who have a desire to promote intercultural understanding and enjoy spending time with teenagers. 2. What responsibilities do Representatives have? All Terra Lingua USA Representatives are responsible for representing us and our programs in their local communities. As a Representative you will be interviewing families, completing application paperwork, meeting with school officials, conducting orientations for host families and students, assisting with student's activities, and supervising program activities locally. 3. What are obligations to Terra Lingua USA? We ask every Representative to place at least two students per year. This number is not limited and Representatives are encouraged to place more students. 4. What kind of support and training do Representatives receive? All Terra Lingua USA Representatives receive two online training courses developed by Terra Lingua USA and US Department of State. Once the Representative successfully completes the training courses, we sign an agreement. Every Representative is supported by an experienced Coordinator who is available 24/7 if needed. 5. Do Representatives get paid? Yes. We do pay a competitive placement fee and a monthly supervision fee for each student placed. 6. What is the Representatives time commitment? Local Representative choose their own hours. Local Representative are asked to reply to requests within 24 hours. During the busy placement season, Representatives typically spend around 10 to 20 hours per month. During the supervision time, a Representative averages 2 to 5 hours per month. 7. How do I sign up to be a Representative? To become Terra Lingua USA Representative, please complete the application form. You will be contacted by our Training and Development Manager once the application form and references are submitted. |
